Aluminium furniture requires very little maintenance however your furniture will benefit from occasional cleaning with warm soapy water and a clean cloth. Avoid scouring or abrasive chemicals &/or sponges. If your furniture is exposed to salty coastal winds it is best rinsed regularly & covered to reduce exposure.
Because of the effects of the weather, the teak wood slowly turns a silver grey shade. If you would like to prevent this, a number of agents are available which will help. We do recommend that the wood is treated with Teak Shield. This product is colourless and also provides a protective layer, meaning that dirt and stains cannot be absorbed by the furniture, this also helps to reduce the formation of algae. To clean the wood, we recommend using Teak Cleaner. (Under no circumstances should a high-pressure washer be used). Never clean using harsh detergents. If you nevertheless wish to use a different detergent, always test the effect of this in a hidden spot.
