The world is your oyster when it comes to a choice of outdoor garden furniture, so the fundamental question is: what are you going to use the seating for? Dining, just lounging, providing a focal point in the garden, sun worshipping or just a quick morning coffee and a read of the paper? Next question is how many people are you needing to accommodate, as we have furniture which ranges from a single chair or sun lounger to modular lounge suites which can be tailor made to accommodate a large party. Final question; what material do you want it made from? The wooden furniture tends to be on the traditional end of the style spectrum, suitable for a typical English garden, but if you have a contemporary urban outdoor living space then the resin weave or aluminium would be a more appropriate choice.

A garden seat is the one essential piece of outdoor furniture, whether you only have a balcony or a huge expanse of beautifully tended garden we have the ideal garden seat. Pop a single cocoon in a secluded corner where you can escape to for a couple of hours, place a fold-up chair on your balcony and surround by aromatic herbs or go for a large dining or lounge set and you are set to entertain family and friends. Lightweight aluminium is ideal if you are moving it around constantly to follow the sun or perhaps just a small chair and table to spend time over breakfast and the morning paper. All the garden furniture sold by Hayes is the best quality at competitive prices, no we’re not the cheapest but our furniture will last considerably longer than that from the large DIY stores, it won’t rust, the colour from the weave won’t come off on your clothes and if you have a problem our Customer Service team are on hand to help resolve any issues. Our buyers Keith Laird and Ian Hodgett have combined experience of over 60 years in the garden leisure industry so are ideally suited to choose garden furniture which will be loved by our customers. We only source our furniture from the most respected manufacturers in the industry such as Barlow Tyrie, Alexander Rose and 4Seasons Outdoor. When choosing your seat you have to ask yourself first of all where do you wish to place the seat as you may be restricted by size? What will be the primary use of the seat, create a focal point in a corner of the garden, lounge on the patio or just somewhere to sit and enjoy your morning coffee? We have everything from 8 seater lounge sets to a single egg cocoon or a 4 seater bench. Finally consider the style of your garden, is it a traditional classic English garden or a more modern urban outdoor living space? If you cannot decide please just call our Customer Services team who will be happy to give you more information. Our garden seats are made from a variety of materials to perfectly complement a classic English garden or a modern minimalist outdoor space. We have sustainably sourced timber, lightweight aluminium, brushed steel and resin weave. Timber seats can be treated with a dedicated timber treatment if you want it to retain it’s new rich colour. They can also be left untreated and they will weather down to a soft natural patina. There are treatments to deter the growth of mould and algae which will extend the lifespan of the seat, however if they are placed in a sunny position this is not necessary as mould and algae tend to grow in damp shade. The majority of our seats do come ready assembled however the timber seats do come as a flat pack, unless otherwise stated on the individual product page. All our furniture carries a 1 year manufacturers warranty  with the majority also having a further 1 year guarantee form ourselves. The warranty covers defective materials and construction not damage sustained as a result of leaving the furniture unsecured in high winds. If you do have warranty issues just get in touch with our Customer Services team who will resolve the problem for you, you don’t need to contact the supplier yourself.

Do the garden seats come ready assembled?

This depends upon which set you choose, some come ready assembled and all you have to do is remove the packaging and relax. The benches mainly come flat packed unless stated on the product.  

Do the timber seats need treatment?

This depends upon the look you want, if you wish to retain the new look then the seats will have to be treated every 2 - 3 years however if you don't want to do any maintenance just leave them and they will weather over time to a lovely soft silvery grey.

Are the seats guaranteed?

All our garden furniture is guaranteed for at least 12 months with many seats having an extra 12 months. This covers the workmanship and materials not damage caused by adverse weather conditions.
