The Alexander Rose Sherwood 8 Seat Oval Extending Dining Set is a versatile altenative to a set with a fixed length table & has a range of uses from small family gatherings to parties or group catering. The oval table can be used to comfortably seat 6 at its smallest size but also extends to make a generous 2.4m long table which makes an ideal set for entertaining or family mealtimes. The set has a chestnut painted finish & comes with a choice of chairs; the Barley Sling Recliner Chair which is a stylish hardwood recliner with a texteline sling back & seat or the Bengal Armchair which is an attractive armchair with a high curved back for extra comfort & support.

The Sherwood range is made from hard-wearing Acacia timber which is factory treated through a controlled wire brushing process to give a slightly textured appearance prior to coating in a chestnut brown, brush painted finish.

Care & Maintenance

Made from Acacia timber, our Sherwood range is sourced from Vietnam and has a durability of up to 10 years. The textured brown finish is the result of 3 coats of paint which may weather if not treated. It can be cleaned using warm soapy water and a sponge. We recommend applying Timber Sealer straight after purchase to avoid fading and to help retain the colour of the wood. Alternatively, leave the paint to weather and the furniture to turn grey over a period of time. After the first season, if you want to re-treat your furniture, we advise cleaning down with our Golden Teak Cleaner with a hard brush (do not sand down or you will lose the textured appearance) then apply either Timber Treatment Plus and or sealer. This treatment will alter the colour of the finish so alternatively it can be repainted with any outdoor timber paint which can be purchased from any DIY shop.
Unrivalled for strength and beauty, Textilene is made of PVC coated woven polyester non-stretch yarn. It is flame retardant, heat sealable, mildew resistant and stable under either hot or cold temperatures. It needs minimal maintainance just clean with mild soapy water.

Warranty

Manufacturer guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials for 3 years. This guarantee does not cover any deterioration due to the usual weathering process such as fading, cracking and splitting. The inherent fading of products under sunlight and seasonal weather conditions is excluded from the extended guarantee, and is thereby covered with a standard 1 year guarantee. This exclusion applies to both natural wood products and synthetic materials.
