Hayes Garden World is a great shopping experience & visiting our World of Plants is a must! This outdoor arena has been designed to provide an accessible & easy to use cornucopia of plants & planting ideas. The whole area has been paviored & the plants are arranged on plant beds interspersed with inspirational displays. The area is partially covered by a state of the art curved glass roof which has enabled us to increase our selection of tender plants early in the year & allows you to browse under cover.
The beds contain plants in themed groups to make your choice easier & as they are raised up it means no more bending & stretching to reach that ideal specimen. We also have a number of exciting seasonal displays which allow you to see which plants look good together & which are in flower at the same time. These feature some of our extensive range of pots & garden features to produce more naturalistic displays that you can reproduce at home.
With the huge popularity of ‘Grow your Own’ we have set aside one area which will expand as the seasons change. It has been planted up with a selection of vegetables that you can grow at home in your garden or even on your patio! It really does show you what you can achieve in a small space.
We have our A-Z of trees, herbaceous plants & shrubs for those of you who know what you are looking for & to give some help to those who don’t, we have our ‘What Plant Where’ displays. This range is designed to give you some ideas for difficult planting locations & will help you choose the right plant for the correct location.
We always have a great selection of seasonal flowering shrubs to brighten up your garden. There is a huge selection of alpines if you have a rockery garden, a lovely collection of young cottage garden perennials ready for settling in before the summer arrives & a large selection of fruit bushes & roses are also stocked.
For those of you without a garden or would like to brighten up your patio, we have an enormous selection of outdoor pots which come in a range of sizes, shapes & colours so that they will fit into any setting.
As a centre-piece we have a superb globe water feature made from River Stone Granite featuring a stylised map of the world, which has been specially commissioned from China and has taken over nine months to create. It has a tremendous 6 tonne weight with the base stone adding a further 5 tonnes but looks magnificent in the centre of our outdoor plant area.
Our indoor plant house has easy to shop plant stands & decorative pot displays. As always we have a superb selection of indoor plants to choose from, including the ever popular orchids, all of which can be gift wrapped for that special occasion. We have several speciality ranges including air plants, bonsai, cacti and succulents with a selection of species available and accessories, such as specialist compost and fertilisers, to help you care for them at home. We also have a great selection of flowering plants with information on their ideal growing conditions including old favourites like Azalea's and more exotic species such as Clivia. There are also a variety of green plants including citrus fruit trees, ferns and palms in a range of sizes which when grouped together would make a lush indoor garden.
