Why pay a fortune for a luxury artificial Christmas tree?

Think that a luxury artificial Christmas tree isn't worth the money? Think again

Some people would regard a luxury tree as an absolute waste of money but given that our best trees carry a warranty for 15 years they certainly make more economic sense than buying a real tree every year. A good quality low-needle drop Nordman Fir, will set you back around £80, over 25 years costing a total of £2,000, not allowing for inflation. Our very best luxury artificial tree, the 2.4m (8’) Ridgedale Infinity tree with 100% Feel Real branches and 4,750 LED lights only works out at £60.80 per year over 25 years, which it should easily last in good condition. The very best trees are either 100% PE (polyethylene) or have a higher percentage of PE around the outside of the tree. The PVC component is inside the tree so once you have it dressed with all your decorations they’re not visible. These PE Feel Real branches are made in moulds taken from actual fir and spruce branches so that you get the most realistic artificial tree available. If you miss the smell of a real tree there are tree scents available which hang in the tree to give it that lovely fresh forest aroma. The 100% PE trees that we sell are the Newberry Spruce, Ridgedale Fir and the Narvik Spruce with the Empire Grande Fir close behind on 94% PE. These trees are available both unlit and lighted with warm white LEDs. Click here to read the blog and watch a short video showing how to assemble one of these trees.

Some of the best trees, with Memory Wire technology, also have branches which naturally fall into the correct shape, they just need tweaking the first year that you purchase them, thereafter they need no dressing out. This technology is usually combined with the Power Connect lighting system, which does away with the need to search through the tree branches and connect the small connectors as it automatically connects as you build the tree. Click here to watch the short video explaining all about the Power Connect system on the Smokey Mountain tree. If the lights don’t automatically come on as you insert the tree section, press down really hard and twist back and forth at the same time, as sometimes the sections can be quite a tight fit and just popping in the section does not engage the two connections. Trees featuring the Memory Wire and the Power Connect system are the Smokey Mountain and the Frasier Grande.

These luxury Christmas trees cannot be distinguished from the real thing until you feel the branches, so if you love the look of a real tree but not the mess then one of these luxury trees is definitely the way to go.
