Pavers Customer Advisor

A fantastic retail opportunity has arisen for Part Time Customer Advisors to join the Pavers team at Hayes Garden World, Ambleside, Lake District. We have contracts available up to 24 hours per week and this location benefits from free onsite parking.

The Customer Advisor role
Providing excellent customer service is in our DNA, so we are looking for someone with a friendly, engaging and positive personality to ensure our customers have the best experience in store. You’ll need to have a ‘can do’ attitude and be able to work in a team, whilst being able to use your own initiative and not be afraid to ask relevant questions & learn new things!
We’ll train you so you are able to help all our customers, offering valuable advice with footwear, shoe care and accessories, displaying our products to a high standard and ensuring all customers have a positive experience, leaving happy with their purchases.
Hours & Pay
24 hours per week. This vacancy requires flexibility and will include some weekend work and shifts during the week.
£9.40 per hour 21+ (18-20 £8.79 per hour & 16-17 £7.48 per hour)

Terrace Café Team Member

Our Four Seasons Café, with an outside terrace and wonderful views, are recruiting now for members of staff to work in various areas of the café. The ideal candidates will have a hands-on approach to all duties within a catering environment.
You must enjoy working as part of a team, be adaptable and flexible and able to cope in a fast-paced environment. All our staff, do their best, to ensure that our visitors enjoy their time in the Café.

Events Assistant

We are looking to recruit an outgoing, enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our events team here at Hayes Garden World.
You will be welcoming children and parents and making sure they have a really enjoyable and memorable time. You must be able to interact with our customers in a confident manner and cope in a busy environment.
We are looking for individuals to start at the beginning of November until the 23 December, to work in our fantastic Santa's grotto. Must be happy to wear a costume if required.
We are looking for individuals to work 4 or 5 days a week. Monday to Sunday 9am – 5.30pm

Outdoor Plants Trainee

We are looking for a passionate and confident individual who loves outdoor life, people and most importantly Plants!

You will be employed on a full time, permanent basis and will undergo training with experts external to our company for one day a week over a 9 month period, with further training in the future. This will involve driving yourself to the training location near Penrith.

In between your training, you will work alongside our passionate and experienced outdoor plant team, learning everything you need to know to become a confident horticulturalist. This will include being an integral part of the department and working on a rota basis to include weekends.

Christmas Assistant

We are looking to recruit temporary staff on a 5-month contract, to work in our Christmas department, if you are a confident individual who enjoys working in a retail environment, then this could be the job for you. Firstly, you will be helping with the setup of our amazing Christmas displays and then you will be helping to sell all of our wonderful products in our Christmas department.

Full time position - 37.5 hours per week, 
All positions will be Monday to Friday until the end of September, then working every other weekend and bank holidays on a rota basis. Monday - Sunday - 9.00am to 5.30pm.

Temporary Checkout Assistant

The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable and have the ability to deliver high standards of customer care for our valued customers. They will be numerate, accurate, work well within a team environment and have a positive, can-do attitude.

Working up to 30 hours a week to include weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis, from September to mid-January. Monday to Sunday 9.00am to 5.30pm.
