Pre Lit Christmas Trees

Hayes have one of the largest selections of pre-lit Christmas trees on-line. Choose from traditional, snowy, pre-decorated and frosted; not only full width but also pencil and slim for small spaces. All our pre-lit trees feature long-lasting LED lights, which should last about 50,000 hours. The LEDs are replaceable and we will supply spares over the life of the tree. Pre-lit trees are stress free, why spend hours putting lights on a tree when someone else can do it for you? Many of our trees feature the latest technology of Feel-Real branches and Memory Wire to give you the most realistic artificial tree on the market. The pre-decorated trees come with realistic cones and berries and to complete the wintery look they can also be slightly frosted and snowy. Hayes online stock one of the largest ranges of artificial trees; from 3' to 18', the larger the tree the bigger the impact so make sure you choose the right tree for your needs. Read the blog and watch the video showing how to make your artificial Christmas tree look fabulous.

Clara Penhallurick
Christmas and Gifts Buyer
Clara has worked at Hayes Garden World for about 20 years and has risen to head Gift and Christmas buyer. Having worked in the Christmas department since joining Hayes she has an in depth knowledge of the requirements and likes of our customers. She has a particular love for Christmas spending many hours designing our spectacular displays. She keeps up to date with all the latest technology and current fashions. Our major suppliers all subscribe to the European design organisations who decide the colours for that season. Many of our customers like keeping to trending styles with various themed Christmas trees in all rooms of the house. Colours which would not sell a couple of years previously are now suddenly best sellers. The way to prevent you completely changing all your decorations every year, and saving a fortune, is to buy the majority of decorations in one colour and just change a few accent colours. Co-ordinating colours are Clara’s strength as you can tell from the beautifully harmonious displays in the Gift department.

Frequently Asked Questions

A pre-lit tree saves you many hours of frustration trying to sort out the tangle of lights that you simply shoved into a bag at the end of last Christmas. A professionally lit tree makes sure that the whole of your tree is lit, not just the outside but also inside the tree which bounces the light around your glittery ornaments. The LED lights last an average of 50,000 hours and unusually, the bulbs are replaceable, if you do break one just call the Customer Services team and they will send out some free replacements.
Our artificial Christmas trees have an average of 100 lights per foot of tree, which is what we recommend as a minimum requirement. If you want something a little different to the normal warm white lights why not add some strings on your own; if you have red and gold tree decorations add some red or amber lights to the inside of the tree and you will get fantastic depth to your tree. In our displays we regularly put 2,000 lights onto a 7.5ft tree and it doesn't look excessive.
If you find that your tree is too small, too large or just not what you expected we will quite happily either exchange the tree or issue a refund, just call the Customer Service team who will arrange to uplift your tree. When you call the team explain exactly what your requirements are and they will be able to find a more suitable alternative for you. The average ceiling height is 7 - 7.5ft and there is no doubt that a tree which goes from floor to ceiling looks the most impressive once it is fully lit and decorated.

Buyers guide to pre-lit Christmas trees

In recent years pre-lit tree sales have outstripped unlit trees as the advantages of buying a pre-lit artificial Christmas tree far outweigh one where you have to put on your own lights. Most of us would rather spend time with family and friends rather than spending frustrating hours putting lights on a tree. The lights used on our artificial trees are all top quality and should last for the lifetime of the tree. If you still want to put your own lights onto an unlit Christmas tree click here to read the blog and watch the video showing you our recommended method of putting lights onto a tree.

There is no doubt that putting lights onto an unlit Christmas tree can be challenging, especially if you didn’t stow them properly the previous year, as they always seem to come out of storage entangled with broken bulbs. Click here to read the blog giving you tips on how to store Christmas tree lights. The artificial trees from The National Tree Company contain approximately 100 bulbs per foot of tree, which is the minimum we recommend to give you a good coverage and show off your decorations to the best advantage. Pre-lit trees and not only available in the traditional green but also pre-decorated with cones and berries and covered in a sprinkle of frost and snow. if you don't have the space for a large full size tree then don't worry we have that covered with our slim and pencil artificial Christmas trees. Even if you don't have any floor space we have small artificial trees, many with battery-operated lights, which easily sit on a table or windowsill.

All our pre-lit trees feature replaceable LEDs which are cool to the touch, especially important if you have small children in the house. They are low voltage which makes them cheap to run and they should last at least 50,000 hours, more than adequate for the life of the tree. Should you happen to break a bulb we will supply replacements over the lifetime of the tree, an estimated 15 years; just call our Customer Services team who will be happy to help.
