Our Shop 🏡
Hayes Garden World has been trading off the same site on Lake Road in Ambleside in the glorious English Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site for over 200 years. Expanding over the years from a nursery just selling plants to the huge multifaceted garden-centric store of today. Also newly located to the back of the nursery is The Barbecue Shop, one of the largest BBQ centres in the north of England. Keep an eye on our Events page for regular BBQ classes! Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned griller, we'll teach you how to cook various world cuisines on your BBQ. Plus, our Christmas dinner BBQ class shows you that BBQs aren't just for summer – they're for every season!

Free staff transport is provided from selected areas, this is just a small part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint. Other initiatives include recycling all our packaging and watering the nursery plants with rainwater which we collect in vast underground reservoirs.
