Indoor Plant Talk

WITH DAVID DOMONEY

Join us on Friday 10th May at 11am for a talk from
plant expert, TV personality and author David Domoney.

During the 30-minute talk David will demonstrate and inspire you on how to succeed with indoor plants. He will explain to you how keeping plants indoors can significantly improve your mental and physical wellbeing. After the talk there will be an opportunity to ask David your questions regarding houseplants.

This event is a FREE ticketed event being held at Hayes Garden World. This event is supported by @HartmanUK

About David:
David Domoney is a Chartered Horticulturist and Broadcaster. He is a seasoned gardening television broadcaster and co-presents with Alan Titchmarsh on ITV’s ‘Love Your Garden’ and ‘Love Your Weekend’. David is also the gardening presenter for ITV’s ‘This Morning’ programme. He is a winner over 30 RHS Medals with three RHS Best in Show category trophies and in 2019, Prince Edward personally selected David for his Award for Horticulture Excellence.

Fundamentals Beginners Barbecue Class

Saturday 20th April 12noon til 4pm

Are you sick of always having burnt bangers and burgers? Worried if the chicken is cooked fully? Or are you just wanting to see what all the fuss is about with alfresco dining and aren’t sure which type of barbecue you want charcoal, ceramic, gas, wood pellet or electric? Then our ‘Taste Fundamentals’ barbecue course is the one for you.

This 3 - 4 hour, 8 to 10 dish barbecue course has been designed to help people learn the basics of barbecuing and will cover cooking to temperature rather than time. Learn how to easily light the barbecue first time every time, basic smoking and what tools are essentials.

Please note that the recipes used in this class are the same as our 2023 classes.

Mediterranean Barbecue Class

New Menu for 2024

This 3 to 4 hour Mediterranean Barbecue Class, with top barbecue chef Andrew Dickens, shows you how to cook 10 iconic dishes, and of course, eat them. The basics of Italian cooking are covered from pasta, risotto, bread, pizza as well as classic meat dishes. You don’t have to be a hugely experienced barbecuer as Andrew will take you through the recipes step by step.

During this 3-to-4-hour 10 dish class Andrew will also cover some of the often-missed barbecue basics as you cook the dishes. During the course you will eat 10 different dishes cooked by yourself on barbecues from Weber, Traeger and Kamado Joe.

Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th September 12noon til 4pm

Ever wondered what that rub, or sauce tastes like, then this is the class for you. Inspired by the rubs and sauces we sell this 3 to 4 hour, 8 dish class will get you salivating for more. During this class you will cook appetisers, sides, mains and even a dessert all cooked using a selection of rubs and sauces from A&O. During the course you will eat 8 different dishes cooked by yourself on barbecues from Weber, Traeger and Kamado Joe.

Please note that this class is created and ran by Hayes Garden World and not the team from Angus & Oink.

Christmas Barbecue Class

Who doesn't like a good feast at Christmas? Here at Hayes, we are firm believers that a barbecue is not just for summer but for all year round. We have secured one of the UK’s top barbecue chefs, Andrew Dickens. During the class you will cook and eat 10 festive dishes.

The course is suitable for both beginners and proficient barbecuers. This course will give you the confidence to try lots of dishes you wouldn’t normally tackle, and you will also learn about the different heat zones on your barbecue. Cooking the Christmas dinner on a conventional cooker usually involves a convoluted balancing act between cooking and trying to keep things warm so using your BBQ as an extra oven allows you to cook everything you need to at the correct time.

For these classes you will be using both Weber and Traeger Barbecues
