Hardwood Garden Furniture Buyes Guide
Hardwood garden furniture is ideal for the traditionalists who love the classic English garden. There are many sets available from the luxury 2 seat swivel set which is luxuriously padded and would suit a more contemporary style outdoor space to the classic picnic table and benches. All our outdoor garden furniture is sourced by our experienced buyers Keith Laird and Ian Hodgett who have around 60 years experience in the garden leisure sector. All of this experience has been gained at Hayes so they have an extremely good knowledge of our customers likes and dislikes. As one of the largest retailers of garden furniture in the UK we are able to negotiate extremely competitive prices with our suppliers which we are able pass on to our customers. Norfolk Leisure and Riverco Redwood are just a couple of our trusted, well established suppliers.
As a general rule timber furniture can be maintenance free or you can treat it with a timber treatment every 2 - 3 years to keep the new look. If you don’t treat the wood it will just gradually weather down to a natural soft patina. The exception to this is the painted garden furniture which will need re-painting every 4 - 5 years.
All our garden furniture is sourced from the best manufacturers and as such is not the cheapest on the market, however it will last many years longer as it is built to a robust construction using the best quality materials.
Yes, all our garden furniture is guaranteed for one year by the manufacturer, with many styles having an extra 1 year warranty from ourselves. The guarantee covers defective materials and manufacture but if the furniture becomes damaged by being blown around in a storm then unfortunately it is not covered. We strongly recommend if there are storms or high winds forecast then the furniture is secured either by taking into a garage or by stacking all the pieces together and tying down.
All our timber is sourced from sustainably managed forests for the benefit of local communities with new trees planted for every tree felled. Far less chemicals and processes requiring energy are used in the production of timber furniture than those sets which use synthetic materials.
