Buyers guide to the Weber Genesis
The Weber Genesis gas barbecues are one of the most popular BBQs; they are easy to use, have a large capacity and of such a robust construction that they will last for years. Many of the parts have up to a 10 year warranty. If you always struggle to cook food perfectly and end up with burnt burgers and salmonella chicken then this is the grill for you. The iGrill 3 capacity allows you to cook the food to exactly the correct temperature; just insert the probes into the meat and the iGrill will send an alert to your smartphone to tell you when it is ready. It also features the GS4 High Performance Grilling System which also boasts the infinity ignition, making firing up the BBQ child’s play. The Genesis grills enable you to cook almost anything you can cook in the kitchen, from an English breakfast to cake for afternoon tea. All the Genesis grills feature the Gourmet Barbcue System (GBS) allowing you to insert a whole host of accessories into the grill. The GBS Dutch oven is perfect for cooking a slow casserole, the wok enables you to cook healthy stir fries; click here to see how to cook a beef stir fry with ginger and sesame on the Spirit gas BBQ. The GBS griddle lets you cook delicate fish fillets or eggs for that classic English breakfast. There is also a rotisserie attachment available to give you a perfect chicken with all-round crispy skin and moist delicious flesh; click here to see how to cook a rotisserie chicken; this chicken is cooked on the charcoal Master-Touch but the technique is still the same over all the grills. Probe the chicken with a digital temperature probe in 3 - 4 places and once it reaches 75C it is ready and free from any salmonella which may be present. Take it off, place it on a wooden board and cover with tinfoil and a couple of tea-towels then let it rest for 20 - 30 minutes before carving.
