Tips for Spring
Spring is the time when anything can happen with the weather; snow, sunshine, more rain, cold or warm. Days are becoming longer, sap is rising, buds are breaking, snowdrops are nearly over, daffodils and forsythia are shining sunshine yellow in a taste of the summer to come. The sun is putting in a sporadic appearance and lambs are bouncing in the fields. It’s time for hoeing out those first weeds, preparing beds and planting last minute summer bulbs. Garden furniture and barbecues can be unwrapped and made ready for summer. If the weather is foul then seeds can be sown and sheds and greenhouses can be cleaned and tidied. After all that work why not visit a spring garden with their spectacular displays of rhododendrons and azaleas.
