Daughter of a farmer and market gardener so have always had a connection with the outdoors, whether it was keeping animals or producing fruit, vegetables and cut flowers. Along with my work at Hayes Garden World I also have a smallholding, mainly breeding rare breed pigs. I gained an HND and BSc in Conservation and Environmental Land Management, as a result I am an ardent environmentalist and have a keen interest in environmentally friendly gardening. In my time at Hayes I worked for several years in the Outdoor Plant and Houseplant areas

Santa's Magical Wonderland

Event runs from 3rd November to 23rd December

Get the Christmas festivities off to a magical start with a visit to Santa in his Grotto at the North Pole Winter Wonderland. Wander through the snowy trees and say hello to all Santa’s little creatures on the way to see the big man himself. See if you can find the creatures in the Wonderland.

Press the button and the three reindeer will come out of their stables and sing you a song, don’t forget to give them a carrot as a treat. Meet Dancer, Dasher and Prancer our 3 reindeer and pick up some jingle bells to join in or sing along with them to Jingle Bells. Sing along with the reindeer as you jingle your bells in tune.

Enter the wardrobe to a magical snowy wonderland, find all the golden keys which have a letter attached to make a Christmas word.

Follow the trail to meet the beavers, help them dig for conkers, you might even find a golden one to keep the Ice Queen happy in her castle. See if you can hook a fish to feed her polar bears and play some snowball games.

Look out for Aslan the king of the kingdom and see how many other animals you can find along the way.

Finally post your ticket at the big white doors and wait for the Elf to take you through to see the big man himself to tell him all your Christmas wishes.

Have your phone ready so the Elf can take your family photos with Santa for your memories and keepsakes.

Then collect your present and Christmas book (if you are on the good list).

After all that fun why not warm up with a hot chocolate and fresh cinnamon doughnut or head to our Four Seasons Terrace Cafe for a choice of eats and treats.

*Please ensure you select the correct time and date when booking.  Our grotto sells out extremely fast and unfortunately, it’s not possible to make changes once you have placed your booking.*

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Unfortunately, we will no longer be including the printed souvenir photo with our grotto package this year. This is due to technical issues experienced previously and to avoid disappointment when issues do occur. We are also finding that most customers would rather have pictures taken on their phone or camera.

Our elves will be more than happy to take pictures with any device you bring, and we will be replacing the picture with a book for per child (rather than per family). 

Photo frames will still be available to purchase at a reduced price, allowing you to insert your own photos at home.
