Santa in his grotto at Hayes Garden World

Santa's Magical Wonderland

Santa's Magical Wonderland

Get the Christmas festivities off to a magical start with a visit to Santa in his Grotto at the North Pole Winter Wonderland. Wander through the snowy trees and say hello to all Santa’s little creatures on the way to see the big man himself. Stop off and have a chat with the wise old owl. Watch out for the polar bear mum cuddling her baby. Make sure you are holding tightly onto your sweeties or the naughty sea-lions might pinch them!

Press the button and the three reindeer will come out of their stables and sing you a song, don’t forget to give them a carrot as a treat. On the way to the Grotto you can see if you can throw the snowballs into the penguin’s hats and also try your hand at fishing. Don’t forget to have a go at the Santa quiz.

Most important is to write a letter to Santa, even though you are going to see him you need to write a letter just in case he forgets! Pop it into the talking post box to make sure it flies to the North Pole. If no-one feeds the post box with letters it gets really grumpy and wants to go home and we don’t want that, it may not come back again and then we’d really be in trouble.

Make yourself some reindeer food to scatter outside your front door on Christmas Eve so that Santa’s reindeer will know where to land and where to bring the presents, after all you don’t want your presents going to the wrong house!

Santa's Magical Grotto at Hayes Garden World

When you get to see Santa in his cosy log cabin, sit next to his friend Bear, and tell him what you really, really want for Christmas. When you’ve told him what you want he will give you a little present to keep you going until Christmas and a photo of you with himself to remind you of your visit to the Hayes Winter Wonderland.

After all this excitement why not treat mummy and daddy to a nice mug of mulled wine and a bratwurst from the market next to the Grotto; or if you’re feeling really hungry have some lunch in our Four Seasons Restaurant before doing some Christmas shopping in the store. Visit the Christmas department and pick up some new baubles for your Christmas tree or a light-up reindeer to stand outside your front door.
