This unusual Liberty Pine Christmas tree is proving to be one of our best sellers as it needs only minimal decoration.

There are three types of branches resulting in a thick bushy tree. The outside branches are a mixture of polyethylene (PE) and spikey PVC pine-like needles. These branches are covered in very light snow and frost. The inside branches are the traditional PVC but once the tree is constructed you cannot see the inside branches owing to the dense nature of the exterior branches. The PE branches are cast in moulds taken from real trees and are sometimes marketed under the name of 'Feel Real'.

It is really easy to construct, take out the stand and form it into an X, next place the bottom section of the tree, usually the largest and the heaviest, into the stand and tighten up the screws. Make sure all the branches fall down and dress out each branch to cover any gaps, the longer you spend on this the better the tree will look. Next place in the middle section and dress out as you did the bottom. Dress out the top section before you place it onto the tree, it is so much easier, particularly if you have a tall tree.

 

 

It also has integral cones attached to the branches, so particularly suits a natural style of decoration. If you want to keep decoration to a minimum you can get away with just adding some branches of berries and it will still look fantastic.

This tree is also available pre-lit which can seriously cut down on the time it takes to put up and light the tree and the stress involved in looking through a whole string of lights for that broken bulb. The lights are low-voltage warm white, replaceable LED’s which means that they are cool to the touch so are particularly safe if you have children in the house. Hayes will replace any bulbs free of charge for the lifetime of the tree; estimated by the manufacturer to be approximately 15 years. Click here to read the full terms of the warranty. The lights are wired in sections so if a bulb goes out you don't have to search through the whole tree. You may notice that there is, what appears to be a spare connection at the top of the tree; this is to attach the pre-lit tree topper. These tree toppers are only compatible with pre-lit trees from The National Tree Company.

Try decorating in reds and naturals; coffee and cream with a touch of chocolate or just white and clear icicles.
