Natural rattan and cane conservatory furniture must be kept somewhere with low humidity, as a damp atmosphere will lead to the growth of moulds and mildew. If you are planning to put this type of furniture into a garden room which has a lot of plants then it may be better to choose either metal or resin furniture which won’t be susceptible to moulds.
This type of furniture can only be used outdoors on a dry day and must be brought indoors if rain is forecast. If you do take it outside don’t stand it on the grass unless it has rubber or metal protectors on the feet as the damp from the grass can lead to the feet swelling and splitting.
Keep your natural furniture somewhere dry and frost free with good airflow to prevent moulds and mildew forming. If you are storing it somewhere over winter just give it a vacuum with the brush attachment before putting it away; although as this is indoor furniture it is likely that you will have a permanent spot for it indoors.
