How To Cook Simple Parma Ham Wraps On A Weber BBQ
Impress guests with this tasty appetiser, cooked in under 5 minutes
This recipe is really quick and easy and the wraps can be prepared in advance; even if you don’t like Parma ham you could always substitute it for something else. This video shows you how to cook this quick, simple, tasty starter which is ideal for your guests to nibble on while they are waiting for the main event.
These Parma ham and cream cheese wraps only take a few minutes to prepare and about 4 – 6 minutes to cook. We have used a charcoal BBQ pre-heated, with an even medium heat. Take a floured wrap and spread it with cream cheese, then sprinkle chopped chives over the cheese, place a line of Parma ham across the centre of the wrap. Roll tightly, starting parallel to the ham. Secure the roll with 4 cocktail sticks spaced evenly. Soak the cocktail sticks in water for half an hour before use, this ensures they don’t burn on the grill.
Brush the top of the wraps with a little olive oil then place them olive oil side down onto the grill. Brush the top with olive oil and close the lid on the BBQ. Check after a couple of minutes that they have the nice sear marks then turn them over to toast the other side. When heated through take off the grill and cut each wrap into 4 pieces, each containing a cocktail stick. The Parma ham can be substituted with smoked salmon, or roasted peppers for a vegetarian option.
