How To Cook Christmas Pigs-In-Blankets On The Weber MasterTouch Charcoal BBQ

Wrap pork chipolatas in streaky bacon to accompany the Christmas turkey

These pigs in blankets are really easy to cook on the BBQ, we have grilled them on a charcoal Weber MasterTouch BBQ which imparts a little smokiness into them giving an additional subtle flavour. Richard and Ian show just how quick and easy it is; there are no added ingredients apart from the chipolata sausages and streaky bacon.

Cut the bacon rashers in half and wrap around the sausage, and that’s all the preparation there is to do. Pre-heat the BBQ to about 200C (392F) setting up a direct and indirect zone. Place the pigs into a perforated Weber grill basket and put it onto the grill over the indirect area. Leave to grill with the lid down for about 20 – 25 minutes then check to see if they are ready. Use a digital temperature probe to make sure they are cooked; you are looking for an internal temperature of 75C (167F), check more than one just to make sure they are all cooked.
