Do I Need To Cover Natural Rattan Or Cane Conservatory Furniture In Winter?

Keep natural rattan conservatory furniture warm and dry over winter

Natural rattan and cane conservatory furniture does not normally need covering in winter as it is indoors. If the conservatory or garden room is unheated and damp then it would be a good idea to store it somewhere drier and warmer as there is a chance that moulds and mildew will develop. The cane can also swell and split when it becomes damp.

Storing cushions somewhere dry and frost free is much easier than having to try and eradicate mould and that accompanying musty smell. Make sure the cushions are completely dry before you store them, especially if placing them in plastic bags.
