Christmas 2015 Is Here!
Hayes 2015 Christmas spectacular promises to be bigger and better
Here at Hayes Garden World the Christmas elves have been working night and day to produce a spectacular display. With one of the largest displays in North West England, 2015 promises to deliver a greater choice of artificial Christmas trees and lights than ever before and any colour combination of decorations you could wish for.
New for this year are the 'Next Generation' Christmas trees from the National Tree Company. One of the most innovative features is the ‘Power Connect’ lighting system; the connections are concealed down the central pole of the tree so that the lights automatically come on as you build the tree. The lights are low voltage LED’s which are the safest form of lighting if you have children as they are cold to the touch. These lights have replaceable bulbs which Hayes will replace free of charge for the expected life of the tree, from the date of purchase.
The ‘Memory Shape’ wire on these trees falls into the correct shape when you take the sleeve off the tree. All it needs is a few minutes tweaking; once you have the tree to your liking it will retain this shape for years to come, and you will be able to put up the Christmas tree in a fraction of the time it normally takes. The icing on the cake or the frosting on the tree is the ‘Music Match’ Bluetooth system which has the tree lights dancing in time to your own choice of music. So if you want to get the party into the swing of Christmas or keep the kids entertained for hours then this system is certainly worth the investment. This technology features on the Smokey Mountain, Nordic Spruce and Fraser Fir trees. These Gold standard 'Next Generation' trees have a ‘Lifetime Guarantee’.
One of the biggest ‘must haves’ and sure to sell out quickly this year is the ‘Elf on the Shelf’, which have been incredibly popular in the USA and Canada and have finally made it to the UK this year. The ‘Elves’ are Santa’s scouts sent from the North Pole to see which children are ‘naughty’ and who are ‘nice’. The Elf flies back to Santa every night after everyone in the house has gone to bed; they report on the day’s events and fly back to the house before anyone wakes. They hide in a new spot every morning so children have to find the Elf every day. Once you adopt an Elf you have to give it a name; once it has a name it receives special Christmas magic so that it can fly to and from the North Pole. No-one can touch the elf otherwise the magic disappears and Santa won’t know who to bring presents to; you can talk to it and give it messages and a present list for Santa.
Making a welcome return is the ‘Singing Gonk’ tree; a new family of Gonks have turned out the grumpy old men who lived there last year. There is mum, dad, kids and granddad and grandma, who loves to wear biker gear and drives a Ferrari scooter, a bit recklessly we have found out to our cost!
We have one of the largest ranges of colours we have ever had with dark blue, violet and orange making a comeback. There is a wide range of pastels and of course the traditional red, gold, white, silver and green. ‘Luxury Lodge’ is sure to be a winner with the rustic naturals, warm copper and orange with a little bit of frost thrown in to create that cosy mountain lodge feel.
‘Merry Moonlight’ has the dark and mysterious black and dark blue with a little gold thrown in to create the moonlit night effect. ‘Snow Delightful’ is cool frosty whites, silver and highlighted with a little dark blue to create a crisp, cold snowy day. ‘Christmas Morning’ shows the excitement of opening presents with a traditional palette of red, white, green and silver. For something a little more sophisticated try the colour combination of pearl, antique gold and wool white in the ‘Champagne Chic’ themed display.
The lighting display is one of the best we have ever had; which as usual will be manned by staff with many years’ experience. There are lights for every conceivable situation from just a small set to place in a vase with some cones or light up some twigs to the large sets designed for lighting the tree. Your bannister can look spectacular with just some lights wound around; quick, easy and effective. Or just place some across the top of the mantel shelf with some cones and church candles; again this looks great and is super quick and easy for very little money. Again the LED pictures are proving very popular and look to sell out fairly quickly.
Visit our European style market underneath the canopy at the back of the nursery and treat yourself to one of our winter warmers. You can get into the Christmas spirit with our mulled wine or hot chocolate, marshmallows dipped in chocolate or caramel sauce, mince pies, stollen or hot cinnamon doughnuts. If you are feeling a little more peckish then how about a Bratwurst hot dog to fill that gap! If we can't tempt you with a little Christmas nibble then the everyday kiosk is also open serving the traditional bacon butties, burgers and fries and of course a selection of hot and soft drinks. If you want something more substantial then don't forget our Four Seasons Terrace Cafe serves a selection of home-made cakes and hot meals.
