World of Pets & Aquatics
Our World of Pets & Aquatics is well worth a visit & makes a great trip out for the whole family! We have a great selection of freshwater, tropical & marine fish, small mammals & some exotic species & it is packed with just about everything you need to care for your chosen pet!
In our tropical fish area we always try to carry a large selection of L number plecs and at present have in stock 2 very rare L046 Zebra Plecs along with a large selection of corydoras and other tropical fish.
The aquatics area features an impressive curved wall of tanks housing a range of fish for cold & warm water aquaria including species such as fancy goldfish, angelfish, discus, yellow tangs & the ever popular clownfish. We also have a selection of marine corals & invertebrates including horseshoe crabs, fire shrimps & red knobbed starfish, if you are thinking about setting up a community aquarium. Whether you are buying your first aquarium or want to upgrade or increase your existing collection we stock a range of tanks & accessories plus complete kits which would suit the novice or more experienced fish keeper. These include some great deals from well known names such as Jewel & Aquastar on the purchase of a tank complete with cabinet stand.
The aquatics area also houses a selection of pond fish including sarasa comets, goldfish & fancy shubunkins, in a range of sizes. These complement our newly expanded pond care area which features a large selection of pond accessories from famous names such as Tetra, Bermuda & King British including fish food, filters, pumps & chemical treatments for your pond & fish. We also have a variety of pre-formed ponds in stock or you could choose to use one of our pond liners to create your own design. If you are looking for guidance on setting up & maintaining your pond just speak to our resident pond expert who will be able to give you advice.
Whilst still stocking a small selection of indoor water features we have increased our selection of outdoor fountains to give you greater choice. This years range of resin water features from Kelkay will be supplemented by quality cast stone designs from Henri Studios. Their original handcrafted cast stone fountains are one of a kind in design-form and function, each piece an art form in itself with lavish sculptural features, opulent coloration and detail - they would make a fantastic feature in any garden or patio setting!
If you prefer soft & cuddly pets come & see our new selection of ‘furries’ which range from the unusual, but very cute, sugar gliders to Degu’s, rabbits & gerbils. If you are looking for something specific, speak to our staff who will let you know whether it is available or try to order it in for you. We also stock a range of accessories for a variety of pets including cages, bedding & food so you can take your new pet home happy in the knowledge that you have everything you need.
Our new pet area also houses some more exotic species in our reptile section. These cold blooded animals include tortoises, bearded dragons, snakes & geckos! As these animals are more demanding in their requirements we have a specialised range of accessories specific to them. We stock heat pads, snake caves, aspen bedding & decorative features plus live & frozen foods. We also have some great deals on cabinets with integral terrariums/vivariums in a range of sizes.
We have housed all our pet & wild bird products in this area so you will find we still carry a large range of accessories for cats & dogs including cages, toys & beds plus everyday necessities such as food & treats. We also continue to stock a great range of wild bird food, bird feeders & nesting boxes for your garden. We have new pets coming in all the time so it is worth a visit to see what we have in stock & our friendly staff will be on hand to answer any queries you have & to give you advice.
