One of the great attractions in the Ambleside store is the Garden Pantry.

Here the walls are buckling under the weight of jams, curds, chutneys and relishes. Tables are crammed with biscuits, chocolates and treats. Baskets overflow with mis-shapes, liquorice and mini jars.

The big fridge has produce from small, local suppliers and there is a section full of traditional local specialties such as mint cake and rum butter. We are also developing a large sugar-free and gluten-free range too.

From September we double the size of this area to accommodate X-mas foods from all around the world.

The key to life is eating a balanced diet, one which incorporates healthy & nutritious food choices coupled with regular exercise.  But you can’t be good all the time so having a handful of Julian Graves chocolate peanuts or Quiggins chocolate butter fudge not only makes you feel good & satisfies a sweet tooth it can also help prevent unhealthy bingeing.
