Specialist Snowdrops Now in Stock

Galanthus Viridapice - A Snowdrop Cultivar which is large, handsome and vigorous. The outer petals have green tips whilst the inner petals have a crescent of green rather like a showman's moustache. It was discovered growing near an old farmhouse in the Netherlands by a Mr J Hoog in 1905 and then propagated in the nurseries of Van Tubergen, introduced to the UK in 1922 as "the green tipped snowdrop".

Sedum Rose Carpet

The Sedum Rose Carpet is a hardy spreading perennial that attracts bees and butterflies. A carpet of silvery blue foliage topped with clusters of rose red flowers. Hardy to -15C. Proffers a sunny site in well drained soil and will also tolerate partial shade. Height: 10cm (4") Spread 60cm (24").

Dianthus Tickled Pink

An evergreen hardy perennial with cerise pink flowers from Spring onwards and blue grey foliage. Excellent in patio pots and tubs. It flowers over a long period and is attractive to bees and butterflies, due to its scent. It is compact, hardy and drought tolerant, to an extent. Height and spread after 4 years is 20cm.

We have just taken delivery of our range of New Season Roses, the range is extensive and is available at both of our garden centres. Climbers,Ramblers, Hybrid tea, Floribunda and Celebration Roses e.g Ruby Wedding, Golden Wedding and Silver Wedding. January to March is an excellent time to plant new season Rose Bushes. We stock a wide range of varieties including Ruby and Golden Wedding Celebration, Albertine and Zephirine Drouhin rambler and climbing roses. We also have available a wide range of David Austin roses.


Primula Woodland Walk

Primula Woodland Walk will add beautiful spring colour to any garden. From early Spring it has an eye catching display of pastel pink flowers with heart shaped petals which are complimented by gorgeous dark green leaves tinged with deep bronze. This perennial will look great not only in pots but also at the front of borders, rockeries and in woodland areas. It is frost hardy and will flower year after year. It suits sun or partial shade. Height: 20cm, Spread: 30cm.

Clematis Rebecca

This is a new exclusive variety of Clematis that was introduced at Chelsea Flower Show 2008. This is only available at a handful of garden centres in the UK. This will flower in late Spring - early Summer and again in late Summer - early Autumn. Ideal for growing through other wall trained trees and shrubs. Height: 2.0m, Spread: 2.5m.

Daphne Odora Rebecca

A partially striking new variegated form of the popular evergreen Daphne odora. Its richly perfumed early spring flowers will fill the garden with a wonderful scent and for the rest of the year, the highly decorative dense leaves will brighten up any border. An excellent subject for a patio pot if in a partially shaded spot. Height: 90cm, Spread: 1.2m.

Weigela Monet

This is a stunning low growing shrub which produces funnel shaped dark pink flowers in early summer. It has an attractive variegated foliage which produces a dazzling display of green, pink and white and as winter approaches its foliage turns dark pink. Leaves will fall late winter to return in Spring. It is hardy to -5C. It likes a sunny or semi shaded position in well drained soil. Height: 70cm, Spread: 90cm.

Leucanthemum Aglaia

The leucanthemum has stunning double white flowers from June to August. It is hardy and easy to grow. It is excellent for cut flowers and is hardy down to -25C.

Rhododendrons and Azaleas

Clematis Bijuo
Unusual dwarf, mound forming clematis. Large Violet mauve rosette shaped flowers, with a slight pinkish tinge, from early to mid summer. Foliage dies back in autumn to return the following spring. Hardy to -35C. Can be planted in any position except for a north facing site. Height: 30cm, Spread: 30cm.

Rose of the year 2008 - Sweet Haze
We are one of the few garden centres in the country with large reserves of this Rose. This new introduction is best described as a shrublet which produces large clusters of single lilac-pink flowers with a delightful sweet fragrance. It flowers early and repeats rapidly, the glossy mid-green foliage has excellent disease resistance. It is very effective in a mixed border or large container, the single flower form of 'Sweet Haze' is attractive to bumblebees (click on the picture plant information).
